How to Direct Link PeerFly Offers on Facebook Ads

How to direct link PeerFly offers using Facebook Ads is probably one of the most common questions I get from publishers interested in running affiliate offers on Facebook.

Facebook provides a great ad platform that can be very lucrative to affiliates, but it does require some work to get your campaigns up and approved. It’s not as easy as just putting your affiliate link on PropellerAds and waiting for the conversions to come in.

If you do not run your ad campaigns properly on Facebook, you can get your ads account suspended pretty easily so it’s important that you know what you’re doing before you give it a try.

There are two big steps you need to take to direct link PeerFly offers on Facebook Ads. Once you do these, you will have no trouble getting your campaigns approved, receiving traffic, and hopefully getting conversions!

Add a Custom Tracking Domain to Your PeerFly Account

The first step in getting your affiliate campaigns approved on Facebook Ads is setting up a custom tracking domain on your PeerFly account.

We first introduced custom tracking domains on PeerFly about 3 years ago and the’ve become very important for publishers wanting to run a successful affiliate marketing campaign.

PeerFly has a bunch of different tracking domains that are setup on your account by default when you’re approved, but these same domains are used by the other 80,000 affiliates active on PeerFly. Once one affiliate gets a domain flagged by a traffic source, it’s flagged for everyone else.

To solve this, you can setup a custom tracking domain on your PeerFly account that you can then use on any of the 4,000 affiliate offers on PeerFly and only you have access to that domain.

I have multiple custom tracking domains on my PeerFly publisher account and I add a new one once every 6 months or so just to keep them fresh.

Adding a custom tracking domain is easy and I have a video here that explains step-by-step how you can do it.

Use the Facebook Sharing Debugger

Now that you have your domain setup on PeerFly, you can be sure your affiliate link will not be flagged by Facebook. However, there is still a chance that the domain for the landing page for the affiliate offer you are promoting may be flagged.

For example, let’s say I want to try to promote this Publix gift card email submit using Facebook Ads.

I clicked the preview link on PeerFly and then copy and pasted the URL in the address bar into the Facebook Sharing Debugger tool.

When you click Debug, Facebook tells me:

We can’t review this website because the content doesn’t meet our Community Standards. If you think this is a mistake, please let us know.

The result will look like this:

If you see that, then Facebook has blocked that link from being promoted. It doesn’t matter if you use your custom tracking domain. You will end up getting flagged.

However, if you click the Debug button and Facebook returns results with information about the link being shared, then you know you will be fine promoting it on Facebook.

For example, here is what Facebook returns if you test the FPTraffic affiliate link 🙂

In this case, I can use my custom tracking domain and setup a Facebook Ad for FPTraffic and know that my link isn’t flagged and it’s not going to get my Ad account suspended.

IMPORTANT: Check the Facebook Ad Policies

It’s possible the affiliate offer you are wanting to promote on Facebook has not been advertised on Facebook before. In this case, it may not be flagged.

Make sure you check the Facebook Ad Policies before advertising any affiliate offers to make sure it doe not break their policies!
